Humble beginnings.
Huge aspirations.

Tzuka was founded with the aim to build the ultimate sports earbuds. Where elite electronic capabilities meet pioneering design and engineering.

From frustration to freedom
Annoyed after breaking 9 pairs of earbuds in his final year of university, Tzuka was founded in 2017 by Tom Jelliffe.
After trying to find earbuds suitable for more extreme sports, it became obvious that regardless of spending £10 or £250, the build quality, materials used and assembly methods are almost identical.
Disappointed by this one-size-fits-all approach of earbuds on the market, being falsely marketed for high-impact activities, but with no actual change to their build or capabilities Tzuka was born.
Earbuds engineered for sports, not just marketed towards them.
A jump into the unknown
Tzuka starts with the vision of developing earbuds that can withstand the rigours of action sports.
Let’s get serious
After 2 years of bootstrapping and refining the product, Tzuka welcomes its first investors. Following in-depth competitor testing and analysis, the first engineering concepts are developed.
Battling the unexpected
Tzuka successfully battles through a pandemic, having gone through major component shortages, essential redesigns and involuntary delays. The latest prototype passes impact and waterproof testing – music is playing.
Lights and tunnels
Tzuka successfully completes its third round of funding, supporting the advanced stages of product development. Celebrations are underway following the successful creation of fully functional earbuds with FreedomMode, continuous improvements to the app, and the initiation of preparations for mass production.
The road to launch
Tooling for high-volume manufacturing starts. An initial pilot run of 50 units is built, which goes through independent testing and certifications.
